Ms Wilding has been involved in many charities through the years in many capacities.

Ms Wilding gives back causes and places dear to her heart whether it is in America or overseas.

Anna Wilding founded her own registered charity the  WILDING FOUNDATION   that provided scholarships in New Zealand and helped hundreds with both money and gifts  after the earthquakes that destroyed inner city Christchurch and many suburbs. The charity ran 2009 – 2018 and disbanded in positive spirit 2018 having achieved it’s goals at the time.  Later  another NZ actress surprisingly  took Ms Wilding’s template and set up a similair mission taking words directly from the WiIding Foundation mission statement..

Ms Wilding has been a strong industry advocate for women. She served on the very first board of Women in Film and TV in Australia. In Hollywood and America Anna Wilding stood up against the casting couch and publicly, and this has been on record for well over two decades. Ms Wilding was also part of the early movement about the lack of opportunities and shortage of female directors. In 2014, with clear evidence in hand, Ms. Wilding spoke out in the industry clearly and strongly about the movie fan site IMDB, and the fact it’s StarMeter system uses subjective and flawed algorithms and therefore presents flawed data to both public and industry professionals.

Ms Wilding, who industry insiders at one time called “Queen of the Independents”  has long been keen for change in the industry and has been a  known force in that regard.#METOO #TIMESUP Anna spoke out about the casting couch ,which Anna is well known for refusing to do. On 10th October 2017 Ms Wilding was  interviewed with the Rita Cosby Show on WABC Radio New York October 2017 about Harvey Weinstein. The interview went viral and played in newspapers and TV shows worldwide. Ms Wilding also had an exclusive 20 minute on air interview with Vinnie Politan Court TV.
